Cyril Petit is a senior research scientist at ONERA - The french aerospace Lab. He is a leading specialist in design, development, integration and tests of Adaptive Optics (AO) systems for various fields of applications including astronomy, space observation, free-space telecommunications and retinal imaging and surgery. He was for instance in charge of real-time control design and AO system integration and test for the VLT SPHERE instrument dedicated to exoplanet imaging.He has started to investigate ophthalmology in 2014, participating to the optimization of ECUROeil. He is system engineer and integration responsible for the CLOVIS3D bench (ANR project) designed for AO assisted laser photocoagulation in the retina, and in charge of Eyewin ANR project, investigating neurovascular coupling in the retina.
