Serge Meimon is a senior research scientist at ONERA - The french aerospace Lab, responsible for development of adaptive optics systems for retinal imaging and surgery. He is a leading specialist in adaptive optics, originally in astronomy, and he has started to investigate ophthalmology in 2010. He has gathered a unique ocular motion and aberration database, from which statistical models have been derived, and designed and exploited the fastest Adaptive Optics Flood Illumination Ophthalmoscope, ECUROeil, located inside the Quinze Vingts Hospital.
